The other bank of the river

the other bank of the river

Before the beginning of this module I was very afraid of the possibility of discontinuation of my study as Post-graduate student. Because after graduation  I chose  to play the role of motherhood  to the fullest of my conviction that  I am the best for  the task , Now  because the children grew up I thought “ why not resuming  my learning  and starting  the  master’s  degree , and there It  became my choice  after abandoning the learning for years to start my master degree in Ahfad University   .
As soon as starting this master I began to work hard and be patient so as to be a good example to my sons. in returning to start learning I faced many  challenges  and the most challenging one is the ICT module  because it depend mostly on having suitable knowledge about information technology and computer science and also it need   good using of English language , and there we found our self standing face to face to all these challenges and no way to retreat or go back so we accepted the challenges and started the module using all our past knowledge and start increasing new skills in this aspects .
Finally and with full confident I declare that at the end of this module all our knowledge have been changed , and frankly I could say that I discovered new scope of knowledge :  for instant I learned how to create an interactive and nonlinear Power Points , know how to use animations , how to use Trigger , how to embed videos in power point , how to use Hyperlink , how to create the timeline , and to make my slide’  design attractive , also the very important aspect of this module we knew about blogging and how to post our ideas in media , and what is the portfolio and it’s role in assessment and learning . In the other side in creating my project I acquired new and modern ideas about distance learning as a new revolution in the field of learning and how it can facilitate learning for all.
All these skill are going to be used in my career , in my kindergarten , in my future learning , in my communication to the other, in teaching my student , and making my presentations .
In my first Blog I said that this module is similar to Bosphorus Bridge which will take us from primitive side of the river to the other modern and civilized one, and now I can say that we passed the Bridge to the other Bank of the river.

All our thanks to Ahfad University, our tutors, and my colleagues.

Creating Timeline in PowerPoint

Creating Timeline in PowerPoint Today in this module during searching how to make an interactive PowerPoint template I learned a very important technique of creating timeline by using PowerPoint: That If we want to create a graphical representation of a sequence of events, such as the progress of learning in a subject or the main events of a person's life, we can use a Smart Art graphic timeline. After we create the timeline, we can add more dates, move dates, change layouts and colors, and apply different styles. We can create timeline in power Points as follow: 1.     On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Smart Art. 2.     In the Choose a Smart Art Graphic gallery, click Process, and then double-click a timeline layout (such as Basic Timeline). 3.   To enter your text, do one of the following: Click [Text] in the Text pane, and then type your text. Educators may find timelines a useful strategy for a variety o...

Summative Assessment

Summative Assessment Last blog I take the formative assessment as a subject matter for that blog, and because in the other hand standing the other type of assessment, so it became an obligation to discuss the Summative assessment (or summative evaluation) which refers to the assessment of participants where the focus is on the outcome of a program. This contrasts with formative assessment, which summarizes the participants' development at a particular time. Summative assessment is widely taught in educational programs.   The goal of summative assessment is to evaluate student learning at the end of an instructional unit by comparing it against some standard or benchmark. Summative assessments may be distributed throughout a course, after a particular unit (or collection of topics) have been taught, and there are advantages to doing so. In many disciplines there has been a move away from 100% end of course assessments, to a model where summative assessments are distributed...
